Instrumentation Principles For Media Technology
level 1 semester 2


This module develops the students' understanding of the principles of operation, and the characteristics, of media technology systems, used for visual and audio information, transmission, interactivity and storage. Additionally an awareness of the social and economic impact of contemporary media systems.
Teaching is by lectures, practical sessions where students are introduced to a range of instrumentation used for display and capture of images and sound used in the media industries.

Assessment is by coursework and examination.
