The Science Faculty at Kingston University is amongst the largest and most dynamic in the new Universities, committed to providing quality courses that meet the needs of the economy, the individual and society at large.
All our courses are complemented by a long tradition in research and consultancy, and supported by well-equipped specialist laboratories and extensive computing facilities. These are located on the Penrhyn Road campus of the University, close to the picturesque town centre of Kingston, which retains some of its medieval character.
The Faculty is made up of three Schools: Pharmacy and Chemistry, Earth Sciences and Geography and Life Sciences. There are currently over 100 permanent academic staff, nearly 50 technical staff who help run laboratory and computing activities and about 30 administrative and secretarial staff who ensure that our courses, students and staff are well supported. At any one time you will also find a number part-time and visiting lecturers from industry and research organisations who bring an outside dimension to our courses.
